The #1 SECRET to a
Successful Fat-Burning Program

Cliff Baker

Have you ever wondered why some people stay committed to an exercise program while others continue to say they'll start one -- someday -- but never follow through? Where are you in that spectrum? Are you searching for more motivation? You may be surprised how easy it is to get started -- and continue.

Look around you the next time you visit the gym or are at the park jogging. Chances are you see the same individuals over and over again. They're committed to their exercise program. They perform it regularly.

Then there are those individuals who continually talk about starting some physical activity . . . make plans to take that first step . . . but never seem to move that foot towards the goal.

What makes the difference?

Even more importantly, where are you in this spectrum? Are you the individual who is still only talking and reading about weight loss? Are you the person who visits the gym only occasionally?

If this is you, and there are plenty of us out there, then you need to learn the #1 reason why so many of us fail in keeping our promises of performing regular physical activity.

The Secret: Knowing When to Pounce On the Idea!

It sounds so simple, yet so many of us ignore it! The most important secret to dedicating yourself to a regular exercise program is the development of discipline.

But how do you create that discipline? It all starts with knowing the exact moment to pounce on your idea. If you want to start jogging, when do you take that thought and make it happen?

The quick and easy answer: while your desire to do it is still burning. At least, this is the answer renowned motivational speaker, Jim Rohn provides.

Far too often, he says, we get the desire. We toy with the idea, but we fail to act. After a day, we busy ourselves with other matters. Very often the desire gradually fades. Before we realize it a week . . . a month . . . or more. . has passed and that burning desire is nothing more than cold ashes of memory. "Oh, yes! I had intended to join the gym!" And the money you had planned to set aside for the gym member has been spent on something else. And that only adds yet another delay.

This means that when the desire is at its peak, you need to take the first step towards fulfilling it. If you don't, the emotion your feel at that moment soon passes. If you want to join a gym, at least call one, arrange for a tour. This helps to create a larger fire of desire.

Start the process! That's all you need to do. According to Rohn, this allows you to "capture the emotion and the wisdom and translate them into action." And in the process, he says, "you've started a whole new life process."

"Taking the next right step." That's what Regina Brett calls the process. She's the author of the book, God Never Blinks: 50 Lessons for Life's Little Detours. She explains the process in a series of single steps -- each a logical follow up to the first. Take the first step she says while you're desire the goal and then you'll know what that "next right step" is.

The Greatest Advantage Of Them All

Not only will you be able to start your weight-lifting program or your jogging program, but you'll also gain an invaluable side benefit. One that may be even more important than your original goal. And that is you'll gain a sense of self worth!

And that, indeed, is an unbeatable win-win situation: Increased self esteem for taking the initial steps and beginning your journey on a fat-burning, health-building journey. Congratulations.
