Not Burning the Fat? Not Building The Muscle?
Learn The Real Truth Behind Your Stubborn Fat!

Cliff Baker

It's happened to the best of us. It's called that "plateau." It's the point at which your body seems extremely happy exactly where it is! And no matter what you do, it seems, you can't get that stubborn fat to disappear!

Up until recently, most people just threw up their hands in disgust when confronted with this problem. We've been told for so long that it's normal, even expected, that we put up little resistance when we get to the point when we can't build muscle or burn fat.

But all that may change, especially if author and weight loss specialist David Grisaffi, can get his message out. He believes he's discovered why that stubborn fat is, well so stubborn.

And it has nothing to do with your will power, your ability to exercise more or even your desire to lose weight. Instead it has everything to do with your hormones.

According to Grisaffi, in a special report I was able to obtain, stubborn fat develops when your hormonal pathways are simply "broken down." What causes this? You guessed it. Yes, age does play a factor in this. As you age, fat deposits increase. As they increase they naturally become more resistant to your normal methods of eliminating them.

This is sad, because in some ways, you have little control over this situation. But, wait. Don't give up all hope. Grisaffi says that even though you have little control over the aging action of your body, there are other ways to take control of the situation in order to fight this stubborn fight -- and WIN!

And the elements we do have control of in making that stubborn fat just a little easier to get rid of is surprisingly simple -- and filled with common sense.

Control Factor To Stubborn Fat #1 - Yo-Yo Dieting

There you have it. How many times have you done it? Go on a quick fix diet. Lose a good deal of weight, just to look in the mirror a short time later. You've gained it all back -- and more. Not only is this embarrassing and dispiriting, but it's totally unnecessary. And it's the Number #1 reason so many of us live with stubborn fat.

Control Factor to Stubborn Fat #2 - Performing less physical activity

We've all been there. We start a new diet and exercise program with all the vim and vigor of a young pup and a new slipper ready to be chewed. Oh, we do so well. At least for a short time. The next thing you know, you slowly taper off your exercise program. Or worse yet, you abandon it altogether.

Have you ever noticed this? Those individuals who crash-diet on severely restricted caloric regimens and then don't think they need to exercise often have the most stubborn fat problems of any one.

The problem is that this stubborn fat is metabolized slowly -- we're talking real slowly! It actually resists the hormonal process that occurs when the fat-burning process begins.

You see, to burn fat, the adrenal hormones must attach to the fat cell receptors. Once attached, they essentially "open them up." This is so the fat can be used to engage the energy pathways. This just doesn't happen if you have stubborn fat.

Hmm. It looks like Grisaffi may be on to something here. We've known for a long time that yo-yo dieting only makes us fatter. But for the longest time many didn't have an adequate explanation. And somehow we always knew that it was just plain commonsense that physical activity had to be an integral part of the weight loss equation.

And now, you have something to think about the next time you hit a plateau -- and your body doesn't want to burn the fat -- or build the muscle.
