Fat Loss Diet Plans - Why 98% of them Fail98% of fat loss diet plans fail and there are 3 primary reasons why. We identify each of these reasons in depth in this article 1) Times have changed, but our bodies have remained the same; this is the first reason why 98% of fat loss diet plans fail. Humans did not always have a reliable source of food every day, and so our bodies are still designed for hunting and gathering and for a time when food was scarce. In those days, there were no refrigerators stocked with food just 10 feet away and no drive-thrus, where one could stop on the way home from work. Their only choices were either working very hard to find food or eating no food at all. At times, they would have to exist on very little or no nutrition. Since they were forced to survive without food on many occasions, their bodies had to find a way to help them get by. Their bodies adapted by slowing down their metabolisms and storing calories as fat when there was enough food; this could then be used as fuel in times of scarcity. Our bodies still function in this way, even though most of us living in the developed world no longer need this survival mechanism. Thus, if you attempt to lose weight with a diet plan that substantially reduces your caloric intake, your survival mechanism will kick in and work against you. In the process, you end up burning less fat and storing more of it, because your metabolism will slow down as a natural response. Even worse, you waste away much of your lean muscle tissue. 2) 98% of fat loss diet plans increase our hunger pangs, which is what makes them fail. Restricted calorie fat loss diet plans keep you in a state of hunger, leaving you with a constant growling in your stomach and an uncomfortable pain that comes when it’s empty. (What’s worse, you won’t be able to take your mind off of food). Do you truly believe that one can stay in that state for long? Of course not, and until you start eating regularly, the hunger pains from these fat loss diet plans will be continue. No one I know can maintain such an eating pattern on a regular basis, and my guess is that 99% or more of the population can’t either. How can you expect to lose weight and keep it off when you’re on fat loss diet plans that just don’t work and are impossible to maintain? NO way! 3) 98% of fat loss diet plans fail because reasons 1 and 2 set you up for disaster. Once you stop following these low-calorie fat loss diet plans, you will be in for a rather unpleasant surprise. This food deprivation has trained your body to burn less fat and to store more of it. Once you resume your normal diet, you will put on weight much faster than you can imagine. (I’m sure you’ve heard of “yo-yo dieting”!). ”) To make things worse, any weight that you might have lost from one of these fat loss diet plans was most likely lean muscle mass and retained water. You might have lost weight, but not body fat. It’s clearly no surprise why 98% of fat loss diet plans fail.
