Celebrity DietsIf you ever wondered how the stars manage to look so good, look no further – we’ll share it with you in this article. Let’s start off by recognizing that not everyone is given the good genetics to be a movie star. Most movie stars look good right out of the box – most, but not all. So they already have a big head start on many of us. Some great actors and actresses did not get the best looks, yet are considered both beautiful and successful. But most get a healthy start from nature. Stars get a few pounds overweight are quickly lampooned - more than a few pounds and the harpoons come out. With this in mind, the stars make staying in shape and having a lean body a top priority – and their diet and workout regimes reflect that. Far beyond simple fad diets, these programs are some of the best programs to burn the fat around – they have to be or else. Plus, they work them with a dedication only matched by professional body builders. In fact, these programs look an awful lot like the ones we recommend on our site. Take Jennifer Garner, for example. This 31-year old star of the TV show Alias has a personal trainer, but uses the same methods we talk about in most of our articles. Her secrets? "I really try to watch what I eat most of the time," Garner says. "But if I'm at a dinner party or event, I'll eat what's offered and I don't beat myself up over it. I may have a piece of bread, enjoy a glass of wine or a small portion of dessert, but I'll try not to do all three. And then I make sure to get back on track the next day with my usual eating plan."
Star of Boogie Nights, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, The Guru and the upcoming film Hope Springs, Heather Graham, 33, likes to eat macaroni and cheese, but saves it for an occasional splurge. Her secrets?
Don’t think they don’t exercise – they do, and often. Personal trainers to the stars recommend: “… get at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise 3-4 days a week, preferably on the days you don't strength train. Try an aerobics class at a local gym or get moving with other star favorites like hiking (favored by Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) or biking (Madonna's latest love). If you do your cardio on the same day as your strength training, work at a challenging but slightly lower intensity.” Celebs do both strength and cardio – which means they workout almost every day for 30 minutes or more. What is also surprising is the amount of different regimes they follow and still manage to get similar results. In other words, it doesn’t matter exactly what you do, but that you do something – and often. This article is here because people have more than a healthy interest in what the stars do because we hold them with high regard and think of them as role models. But they are just like everyone else and must do the same things to burn fat just like the rest of us. They have no special secret or workout that makes a huge difference; they simply have a program that fits their needs and they work it – hard. The real difference between us and them – and this does deserve our admiration – is the dedication they have to their art which demands they always look good. They may have the money and the time, but that doesn’t make it any easier for them to work out or eat right. Their strict discipline to well-known fat burning programs is what makes them successful, not some “special secret” only Hollywood knows about. There are plenty of fitness charlatans who would have you feel that way, however, so get educated about fat burning if you really are serious. Avoid the fads – they just cost you money that could be better used paying for a membership at the local gym. Then, if you do find yourself fascinated by the stars’ diets and work out programs, you could certainly do worse than emulate their dedication to staying in shape. |
