Being Overweight Makes You Feel HungryHave you ever noticed that the more overweight you are the hungrier you are? It is ironic that the more fat you have the more you crave food – especially bad food. It is always the obese person that is breaking out the bag of potato chips or the tub of ice cream at midnight. This is not psychological. The pangs of hunger are very real and can cause the overweight person to have a need to consume large qualities of food constantly. The hunger never stops and the person gets bigger and bigger. If they do try and curb their appetite they experience the misery of deprivation. The control center for hunger is in the hypothalamus gland. This is the body’s master gland. It regulates metabolism and the physiological trigger of hunger. In fat people this gland does not operate normally. It is too toxic. Only changing your lifestyle can help normalize the appetite and eventually eliminate the persistent and nagging sense of intense physical hunger that seems a part of being fat. There are many reasons that it might be operating abnormally in the first place and these include
There are also many other factors as well that can cause this low metabolism and intense constant hunger including two very unusual influences that you may have never suspected could be a factor. The first unusual factor is the lack of taste. The hypothalamus thrives on being able to experience the basic tastes that are present in most foods that we experience throughout the day including saltiness, sourness, sweetness, bitterness and . It must have these different smells or the body becomes complacent. Without all of these tastes then the hypothalamus starts being tricked into believing that your body is lacking food. This sensory deprivation in turn lowers your metabolism and also increases hunger. Therefore, in an ideal world, your hypothalamus would be kept the most healthy if it had all of these tastes and scents at its disposal always. Who knew that deprivation of variety could actually slow down your metabolism. Perhaps eating a variety of foods every day is what can keep you slim as well because it keeps the hypothalamus happy too. This is part of the reason why you really do want to eat a great variety of foods a day and also colored vegetables as they stimulate your hypothalamus even more and help you to lose that weight. You could also feel hungry because you have Candida which is a fungus that hosts off of your body so you do not get the nutrition that you need. |
